Lake Kawaguchi is located north of Mount Fuji on the Japanese island of Honshu. Located in Yamanashi Prefecture, it is part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. On the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi, you will find the best spot to see Mount Fuji. If the weather conditions are good, you will see Mount Fuji reflected on the lake. In April, cherry blossoms come out, and from June to July, lavender can be seen, it is the opening of the herb festival. In November, the lake is surrounded by red and yellow maple tree leaves, and many tourists come to enjoy the show. Moreover, there are many museums to visit, and you can also enjoy beautiful walks.

From Kawaguchiko Station, Omni Bus lines provide local transportation for tourists around Kawaguchiko Lake and nearby Saiko Lake: the red line runs along the eastern and northeastern shores of Kawaguchi Lake, while the green line runs along the southern shore of Kawaguchiko Lake before continuing to Saiko Lake.
